is a historian, political scientist and a philosopher.  His areas of interest are cultural history, public ethics, global justice and social change. Eze teaches in the Political Science department of the University of Amsterdam and is also a graduate fellow at Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge. He has published academic and non-academic works in African Studies (history, philosophy and politics), ubuntu philosophy, public and environmental ethics, global justice and religious nationalism. Eze has taught at universities in Germany, South Africa, Nigeria and the United States.
